These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Desh Duniya mobile application and website (the “Service”), operated by Desh Duniya (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Desh Duniya provides curated news, concise article summaries, and links to original publisher content for personal, non-commercial use. Features may include browsing by topic, personalized feeds, article detail views, sharing, optional Google sign-in, comments and reactions (when signed in), bookmarks, notifications, and advertising.
We may update, add, or remove features at any time. We do not guarantee that any particular feature will always be available.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding agreement under applicable law to use the Service.
The Service is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use the Service.
3. Accounts and guest access
3.1 Guest use
You may browse and read content without creating an account. Guests may also share articles using their device’s share options.
Guests cannot post comments, react, bookmark, or use other features that require sign-in.
3.2 Signed-in use
You may sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for activity that occurs under your signed-in session.
You agree to provide accurate information through Google Sign-In and not to impersonate others.
3.3 Account deletion
You may delete your account and associated personal data from within the Desh Duniya app. You may also contact support@deshduniyaupdates.com if you need help with deletion. Additional details are in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
- Harass, threaten, defame, or post hateful, discriminatory, or illegal content
- Spam, scrape, or overload the Service in a way that harms performance or other users
- Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data without authorization
- Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the app or our branding except as allowed by law
- Interfere with ads, security features, or other users’ experience
- Use the Service to infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others
We may remove content or restrict access if we reasonably believe these rules were broken.
5. User content (comments and interactions)
If you post comments, replies, or other content while signed in (“User Content”), you remain responsible for that content.
You grant Desh Duniya a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, store, and distribute your User Content solely as needed to operate and improve the Service (for example, showing your comment under an article).
You represent that you have the rights to post your User Content and that it does not violate law or these Terms.
We do not pre-screen all User Content, but we may remove or hide content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
We reserve the right to remove User Content that we reasonably believe is spam, misleading, abusive, or otherwise harmful to the Service or its users.
You should not post confidential, personal, or unlawful information in public comments.
6. News and Third-Party Content
Desh Duniya aggregates news from third-party publishers and news providers. To help users quickly understand current events, we may present concise summaries, headlines, images, and links alongside the original articles.
While we strive to present information accurately, we cannot guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of all news content.

- We do not claim ownership of third-party publisher content.
- All trademarks, logos, and publisher names remain the property of their respective owners.
- Summaries are automatically generated from information provided by third-party news sources and are intended as brief overviews. They should not replace reading the original article.
- We do not guarantee that any news article, summary, headline, or image is complete, accurate, current, or suitable for any particular purpose.
- Where available, users should refer to the original publisher's website or application for the complete article and any corrections or updates.

7. Intellectual property
The Desh Duniya name, logos, app design, and original materials we create are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not use our branding in a way that suggests sponsorship or endorsement without our permission.
Third-party trademarks and content remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Advertising
The Service may display advertisements and sponsored content. Ads help keep the Service free.
Ad appearance and partners may change. Your use of ads and related identifiers is also described in our Privacy Policy.
We are not responsible for the content of advertisements displayed by third-party advertising partners.
9. Notifications
If you enable push notifications, you may receive news alerts or service-related messages. You can turn notifications off in your device settings and/or in the app when available.

11. Third-party links and services

12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that news content will meet your expectations.
Desh Duniya is not responsible for decisions made based on news content or summaries available through the Service.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimer limitations; in those places, our disclaimers apply to the fullest extent allowed.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DESH DUNIYA AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (IF ANY), OR (B) USD $50.
These limits do not apply where liability cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, for fraud or certain personal injury claims).
14. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless Desh Duniya and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, to the extent permitted by law.
15. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms, except where local law requires additional consent.
We may also change or discontinue parts of the Service without prior notice where reasonable.
16. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account as described above.
We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service.
Sections that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) will survive termination.
17. General
These Terms apply worldwide to users of the Service.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service, unless a separate written agreement applies.
